The Loki is a fast mech, with the highest top speed of any non-light mech in the game.  It has the third-highest total of omni weapons slots, with six, has four component options, and has good acceleration, deceleration, and torso twist values.  In short, the Loki is a versatile design with no serious weak points, suitable for many roles on the battlefield.

The six omni slots are arranged in two groups of three, one in each arm.  Typically the mech's primary weapons will be allocated here, as the rest of the weapon slot groupings are in pairs, preventing the inclusion of the larger weapons.  As it is, the Loki is well suited to a gunslinger role, "six-gun" in each arm, with supporting weapons scattered across the torso. The speed makes it an invaluable addition to a capture the flag game. Crank the engine to full, max it out with either reflective or reactive armor, and fill in the rest with weapons and you have a mech viable as a flag runner escort, flag runner chaser, or even a flag runner in a pinch.

The lack of an option for jump jets is the closest thing to real negative the Loki has.  While certainly not vital, they can make a good addition to a mech that displays such a combination of size and speed.
